Agoda Reviews

Online travel agencies such as Agoda.com are ways for people to plan and book their travels with the guidance of a professional, an agent or an agency. They’re supposed to fulfill their end of the bargain if they are true to their promise at all. Agoda reviews give you an idea of how Agoda appears to its past customers. Let’s check this Agoda review and see where Agoda stands.

Its Origins

Agoda Co-Founder CEO Reviews

Robert Rosenstein, Co-Founder and CEO of Agoda

Agoda.com is an online travel agency from Singapore whose travel booking services are  available in 38 languages. Agoda Company Pte. Ltd.was founded in 2005 by Michael Kenny and Robert Rosenstein. Two years later the company was purchased by Priceline Group, the largest online seller of rooms.

Its co-founder Robert Rosenstein currently serves as the company’s CEO. He has held this position since November 15, 2010. He’s from New York City and has a degree from Hamilton College.

Agoda’s slogan is “Smarter Hotel Booking.” It strives to make travelling more “affordable, accessible, and enjoyable” for its customers. All over 20 countries, Agoda employs more than 1,300 staff.

The Website

You’ll never have enough of new sites, the varieties are endless. This Agoda review sees that their official website is sparse but nice to look at. You’ll immediately see that they offer more than 750,000 hotels, villas, apartments and more worldwide.

It’s pretty encouraging to visit through their site. The simple design is conducive to enjoyable browsing. Meanwhile, here is a link to their remarkably information-laden blog. Their blog is great– to be seen by scrolling down on their website under the About Us section. It contains interesting, relevant and wide-ranging topics, usually about desirable destinations and lists.

agod siteWhat People Say

However, Agoda reviews begin to cast a shadow on them. Some commenters on  reviewstalk.com mention that it’s better to “book directly with the place” rather than use the online travel agency.

They’re not high on trust ratings amongst these people. Whatever prices Agoda displays online usually show discounts for larger sums than that in the actual property. This means that going straight to the hotel is actually cheaper in most cases.

On the other hand, some sites go the entire different direction and discuss that Agoda is not a problem and even “reliable.” Reviews are split neatly between good and bad on sites like travelfish, and to put things into perspective, the negative ones are separate incidents. It’s up to you to decide how you will approach them upon handling such Agoda reviews.

The thing with those online reviews is that they tend to veer on both directions. You’ll never know unless you try Agoda out. Their bad isn’t so bad.

I agree with you Amy, this site despite its many flaws deserves a try, esp. if you’re just searching around. I wanna thank this review for featuring such an interesting company, Kudos!!
