Azerbaijan Airlines Reviews
Flying is great if you’re on a good airline. It makes the trip better if you actually enjoy your flight and a lot of factors could contribute to this. Some of these are what are behind official rankings from companies. We tend to trust these ratings when considering an airline’s quality.
A majority of Azerbaijan Airlines reviews are positive. What do rankings and passengers feel make up the airline’s successful image?
Azerbaijan Airlines is Azerbaijan’s largest airline and its flag carrier. Founded on April 7, 1992, it is also known as AZAL and is headquartered at Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a fleet size of 32 aircraft flying to 53 destinations.
Jahangir Askerov serves as its current President. He was born in 1950 and in 1980 graduated from the Leningrad Civil Aviation Academy as an Engineer-Pilot.
In 2015, British consulting company Skytrax gave the airline a 4 out of 5 star rating for airline quality and services.
How People See it
Azerbaijan Airlines reviews are positive, and it has a 7 out of 10 rating which is pretty close to its 4-star rating from Skytrax. The food and space on board were great, the meals were mentioned to be “fantastic”. We don’t know what to expect from them in other areas, but their cabin crew were similarly excellent.
It seems that they’ve been coming across very well to their fliers. They make a wonderful impression on their passengers, but lack in the entertainment department. Some find this frustrating, it’s their only weak arena, and people think that they’re so close to being perfect. Everywhere else, they’re globally competitive and deserve all the recognition.
Their website’s fine as websites go. We all know by now that Azerbaijan reviews will vary widely regarding even their site’s appearance and with this Azerbaijani review, we see no difference. They have large shots of local attractions and you get to use the entire site when you’re there, having to scroll down a little to get to their flight search.
What’s interesting about them is that they feature the most important information on their homepage. The rest are sequestered in the tabs. This sufficiently makes browsing easier. You can check in online. They have a frequent flyer program called AZAL Miles. The more you fly, the more benefits you’ll have from your earned Travel Points, especially if you also upgrade with their airline and agents. You can use your collected points for further flights and upgrades.
Their flight classes are Business and Economy. Business class passengers get to choose between 3 international dishes such as veal, chicken and fish and have the comfort of blankets and a spacious cabin. The ones from Economy will have a cold or hot breakfast and 2 choices of meals and snacks. Newspapers are also available onboard.
There’s no example under what kind of meal they offer on board, but their website shows a list of special diets for passengers and what types of food are in it. Both classes have great entertainment and business class fliers now have their own portable media players where they can watch shows or play games.

It was seen in this Azerbaijan review that the airline is near-perfect. They have rave reviews from passengers praising most of their most important services: food, cabin crew, plane interior but it is weak in terms of entertainment. Their ratings are already very high and the most they can do now is maintain their stellar performance. Keep it up!
