Otel Reviews

Hotels are important in the travel business. People need a place to stay when they are travelling and many businesses and agencies sometimes focus solely on this aspect. Selecting hotels can be an ordeal for you and for them, so it’s best if you know what you want and how to look for it, as we see in some Otel reviews.

Origins and Ownership of Otel

Otel logo ReviewsOtel.com is part of the MetGlobal group of companies. It was founded in February 2004 and offers hotels bookings and reservations at a discounted rate through the Internet and its website otel.com. The kinds of hotels it offers are  beach hotels, spas, ski hotels, golf hotels, casinos, boutique hotels, business hotels and they also provide car rental service reservations.

They have a Best Rate Guarantee which goes that they would refund the difference if you find a better deal for the same hotel on a rival website, plus incentive on your next booking with Otel.com.

People’s Comments

Otel reviews show that they have a 7.9 rating from Trustpilot, which is displayed in their home page. This is a high score, averaging the 4 out of 5 stars yet some negative Otel reviews remain uncontested. One reviewer from Fodor’s shares that they charged them for a nonexistent room and still hadn’t refunded them. This was when the client clicked a room that was unavailable. They were offered an upgrade as courtesy, when the cost of this upgrade was also deducted from their credit.

People go through the same process when they cancel their reservation. Their credit is deducted and refunds don’t happen. Otel seems to continually behave in this way towards their customers. They show no remorse for their operations and ought to start fixing their business and concentrate on their ever-available yet disappointing customer support.

Its Official Website

Otel website ReviewsThey pride themselves on their dedication to customer support, and invite people to give them an honest opinion about what they want from a company like Otel. Their customer representatives across Europe, Philippines and the U.S.A. are available 24/7 whenever you need them.

Their website is literally impressive. The number of currencies and languages you can choose from is overwhelming. Their design is like most travel websites and a bit boring but you’re sure to be inspired by the kind of raw energy they have from their content.

They say that they offer 250,000 hotels from 20,000 cities all over the world. At the very bottom of the website are lists of hotels under 7 different geographical regions. Hotels are also included in a section called Popular Hotel Destinations.

Included is a link to their FAQ page. For more information, offers and updates about Otel.com, kindly view their Twitter account here.

A Last Look

Otel icon ReviewsSome people online had reported that Otel.com does not seem to care how they look or how they operate. They are simply haphazard and reckless, at times unhelpful and incompetent in resolving customer issues. Most issues involve botched reservations and getting refunds. They could really help if they concentrate on fixing the problems that do arise. If you feel the same way about Otel reviews, share your opinion here.

Does it NOT make sense that they’re on air 24 7 and still mess everything up? And I read another Flight article mentioning that their name sounds unprofessional & I think so too.
